Shava- whaaaaat?

Shopping online for your newest dress or pair of trousers is so easy these days, up until the point where you start doubting what would be the right size and fit for you. That’s where Shavatar jumps in! As a spin-off from the University of Antwerp and imec, we have built unique technology that accurately generates your 3D body shape without the need for a scanner or camera, that serves as the basis for detailed size and fit advice. A continuously growing community of European fashion brands is using our technology, while also resellers of work wear have discovered the value of the Shavatar Sizing & Fit Engine Platform.

Your role?

As our brand new Product Genius, you’ll be a key player in the future growth of our company! You’re the M/V/X in charge to develop our future product strategy, processing inputs from sales & marketing, customers, almost-customers and any other people that know what they’re talking about. You’ll take the helicopter view, in order to fuel and shape up our development roadmap. You’re the guard, making sure that we keep our focus and continuously set the right priorities in our development efforts. On a daily basis you’ll be overlooking all digital development projects & teams, running one sprint after the other. And finally, when you put on that fresh and fancy shirt, you’re the right person to support our founding team in representing Shavatar in front of all our stakeholders.

Your profile?

First and foremost we’re looking for a contagious level of enthusiasm and a whole lot of out-of-the-box thinking skills! You have a proven experience in leading digital development roadmaps, although we will not necessarily count the number of years experience that you have! Lean and agile don’t sound like Chinese to you, and you love to make commitments in sprints. You don’t sit back waiting until others take the initiative. You always see room for optimization, and you get an extra shot of energy when you’re being pushed out of your comfort zone. You have a decent understanding of how IT and especially cloud based stacks work – most common tech stacks, IT architecture frameworks, API calls, front-end, back-end – you simply know how to run the conversation and the right approach on alle of these! And above all you know how to communicate openly, respectfully and with a healthy level of assertiveness to both colleagues and customers.
